  • We use a secure platform called SimplePractice for all scheduling, paperwork, and communication in one convenient place. On the day of your appointment, you will receive a secure link that you can click to easily join your session by entering your name. Telehealth sessions are available only to clients located in states where the clinician is licensed, so please check with your provider if you have any questions about if you can do telehealth with them or not. If you are doing telehealth you do need to be in a confidential space.

  • There’s no set timeline for therapy, and it can look different for everyone. Some people come for short-term support to work through a specific issue, while others stay longer to explore deeper patterns, build coping skills, or support ongoing personal growth. We’ll regularly check in on your goals and progress together so you can decide what feels most helpful for you. The length of therapy is flexible and based on your needs, comfort level, and what you hope to get out of the process.

  • Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you in. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and any goals you may have. I may also ask questions about your history, current stressors, and what support has or hasn’t been helpful in the past. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. You can go at your own pace. The goal of the first session is to help you feel comfortable, build connection, and start creating a plan that fits your needs.

If the session is for your child then the first session is an opportunity for your child to begin building a comfortable connection with their therapist. Depending on your child’s age, the session may include talking, playing, drawing, or other activities that help them express themselves in a way that feels natural. The therapist will spend time getting to know your child, learning about their interests, strengths, and any challenges they may be experiencing. Parents or caregivers may also be asked to share information about their concerns and goals for therapy. Depending on the child’s age an intake session with the parents prior is usually a requirement. There is no pressure for your child to open up right away, the goal of the first session is to help them feel safe, comfortable, and supported as the therapeutic relationship begins.

  • Rates vary based on service and clinician location. Your provider will answer any pricing questions prior to starting services and will also review an intake form that includes detailed pricing information before your first appointment. Standard 45–60 minute sessions typically range from $190–$225.

  • Inner Growth Therapy Center is an out-of-network practice, which means payment is due in full at the time of each session. At the end of each month, we can provide a superbill through our secure client portal. This document includes the necessary details and billing codes for you to submit a claim directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible to receive partial reimbursement for your sessions.

If you’re unsure about your coverage, it can be helpful to contact your insurance provider and ask the following questions:

-Do I have mental health benefits?

-Does my plan include out-of-network coverage?

-What are my benefits for CPT codes 90832, 90834, 90837, 90846, and 90847?

-Have I met my deductible, and what is it?

-How many therapy sessions are covered per year?

-Is a referral required from my primary care provider?

  • A Good Faith Estimate is a written estimate of the expected cost of your therapy services when you are not using insurance or are choosing to pay out-of-pocket.

Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to give you this estimate before your first appointment (or before services begin). It helps you understand what you can expect to pay for care so there are no unexpected costs.

    The estimate typically includes:

-The expected cost per session type

-An overview of the services you may receive

It is not a final bill, but a way to promote transparency so you can make informed decisions about your care.

  • We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us the opportunity to offer the appointment time to another client who may be waiting for services. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee.

We understand that unexpected situations, illnesses, and emergencies can arise. If you experience circumstances outside of your control, please reach out to your therapist as soon as possible. We strive to approach these situations with understanding and will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Please note that parent coaching (individual or joint sessions), co-parent coaching, and individual coaching services are generally not covered by insurance and are not eligible for reimbursement. These services are considered coaching rather than psychotherapy and are therefore typically paid for out-of-pocket. If you have questions about a specific service or fee, your provider will be happy to discuss this with you.
